These are the images I took when i visited Newcastle and Gateshead. At this point in my project I knew I wanted to photograph people, but I also wanted to take photos of the world around me. On this trip I took photos of both, but was unsure about how to combine them until I took a photo of my friend in the viewing balcony in The Baltic, when I realised when people and landscapes are combined it has a much more interesting effect on the person viewing it, and can actually tell a story.

I think my most successful images are that of my friend looking over Gateshead, and the photos of the TV stands because they incorperate the minimilist aesthetic that originally drew me to the project.
